Backgrounds for publishing the Report

  • The corporate environment in this global day and age of the 21st century requires a two-tracked effort that must be simultaneously pursued: one, a balanced improvement and success thereof in the triple bottom lines of the economy, the environment and the society, and two, Sustainabiilty Management that allows strengthened communication among the three core interest groups of the customer, the shareholder and the people of the company.
  • To meet the demands of the new and changed corporate environment, we have undertaken a complete review of our company's management policies and operational matters. Based upon the review's assessments, to strengthen the potentials for our company's sustainable growth and to solidify our dedications to making that growth possible, we have produced this Sustainability Report regularly from 2005, which is the year of our company's 50th anniversary, the first of its kind to be published by a Korean insurance company.

Fire Insurance

  • This comprehensive report sheds light on the various Sustainability Management-related corporate activities carried out inside and outside of the company from the three different angles of the 'economic profitability', 'social responsibility', and 'environmental soundness'. The content of the report has some notable features that are attributable to the particulars of the insurance industry.

    Based upon the company CEO's management philosophy, the company vision and the company strategy, this report gives a direction and a future vision of Sustainable Management. 'Hi 2010, The Most Competitive Insurance Company in Korea' is Hyundai Marine company's vision that propels and motivates us to become Korea's No. 1 insurance company and grow further on to become a global insurance presence. The report shows not only the results of the Sustainable Management efforts up until today but also our plans and goals dedicated to improving the company in the future.

    This report shows how varied our activities are, ranging from innovative management to customer satisfaction management, and seeks to clearly manifest Hyundai Marine company's dedication to Sustainble Management to the interested parties.

    Insurance business, due to its commitment to the promotion of public interest, can be discerned from other types of businesses. Therefore, major products and services provided by the insurance industry, in addition to their marketability and profitability which are important from the company's view, bear a social responsibility of securing the customers' property and their safety. Then, this report, assumably, is an attempt to capture the endeavors of the Hyundai Marine insurance products and services and whether they are dutifully fulfilling their assigned roles of social responsibility.

The Full of the Original 2004/2005 Sustainability Report

  • Through a reassessment of Hyundai Marine's corporate activities at an opportune time of the company's 50th birthday, the report provides a vision for its sustainable future. Finally, the report essays to heighten Hyundai Marine's credibility by actively sharing its corporate information with our shareholders, our customers, our business partners and all other interested parties.
